Corrie Capers 2026

One of Arran's most loved traditions

Corrie Capers is one of the Isle of Arran's most loved community traditions. First held in the early 1980s, it grew over the decades into an annual summer highlight that drew locals, visitors, and returning islanders together for days of competition, celebration, and communal fun.

Over the years, Capers events have included Viking games and boat burnings, mini marathons and fun runs, tug o' war, bed races, pipe bands, ceilidhs, summer fêtes, dog shows, and much more. The weekend has always had a distinctly Corrie character — informal, good-humoured, and rooted in genuine community spirit.

Supporting the Community

Proceeds from every Capers have gone back into the villages of Corrie and Sannox, funding everything from the harbour and village hall to local youth projects. That tradition continues today, with all funds raised going to Arran Music School and Hall improvements.

Back for 2025, and Back Again for 2026

After a period away, Corrie Capers was proudly resurrected in 2025 as part of the celebrations marking the Corrie Hotel's 175th anniversary — a fitting moment to revive a tradition so closely tied to the life of the village. The hotel is proud to play its part in keeping Capers alive, and looks forward to welcoming everyone back for another memorable year.
